Clerk for Windows
=================

Double-click Clerk.exe. A browser tab opens at http://127.0.0.1:7860 and that
is the whole interface.

Two things worth knowing before you start.

Windows will warn you the first time.
This build is not signed with an Authenticode certificate yet, so SmartScreen
shows "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" then "Run anyway". If
you would rather verify the download instead of trusting that dialog, the
SHA-256 of every published build is served at
  https://api.getcomputeruse.com/version — compare it with:

      Get-FileHash .\Clerk-windows-x86_64.zip -Algorithm SHA256

Clerk drives your desktop.
It moves the real pointer and types into whatever window has focus. Anything
irreversible — deleting, overwriting, reading keys, changing system settings,
discarding uncommitted work, sending local files out — stops and asks you
first, and says what it is about to do. Ordinary commands do not interrupt.

Where things live
  %USERPROFILE%\.clerk\clerk.log what the app logged
  %USERPROFILE%\.clerk\mcp.json MCP connectors
  %USERPROFILE%\.clerk\skills\ saved procedures (.md)
  %USERPROFILE%\.clerk\experts\ expert roles (.md)

Updating
In-app updating is macOS-only for now; on Windows the app tells you when a
new version exists and you download it from the site. Unzip over the old
  folder.
